Here's All You Need To Know About Lip Tints!

There is something about lip tints that we can’t get enough of. Not only do they come in super cute packaging that is difficult to take eyes off, but the sheer variety of flavours and shades to choose from makes us keep wanting more. When it comes to making the choice between tinted lip gloss and lip tints, we always prefer the latter! So here is everything you need to know about your favourite beauty product.

How Are Lip Tints Different From Lip Gloss?

Most lip glosses and lipsticks are composed of oils and waxes, which causes them to slide and slip off your lips. On the other hand, lip tints have a gel or liquid base, and some even have a mousse-type texture. These are then composed of base pigments that cling to your skin a long time after the tint has evaporated.

Types Of Lip Tints

Now that we know what lip tints are, let’s take a look at all the kinds available out there!

Liquid Tints

The most popular kind of lip tints out there, liquid tints are super easy to apply. If you want to create a gradient look, then you just need to swipe the tint wand along the inner edges of your lips and press them together for a couple of times to spread the colour. If you want a more diffused look, then just apply the tint while covering a greater area and then press your lips together for a couple of times.

Peel-Off Tints

A true beauty novelty, peel off tints essentially leave a stain on the lips that lasts up to 12 hours. As the name suggests, they slightly vary in application as compared to liquid lip tints and lip balms. First off, you apply a generous layer of lip tints on your lips and then leave it on for 10 minutes. When the tint has dried up, simply peel off the thin layer of the tint. By this time, the colour pigment gets deeply absorbed in your skin, thus leaving you with a lip stain that looks immensely rich and juicy.
